Girly-Girl

For those who haven't had the pleasure of making my acquaintance, I must confess - I don't exactly exude femininity. I think I must have ground my lacy, pink invitation to "Girl World" into the ground with my soccer cleat when I was 10. With a laugh a little too loud and a tendency to prefer hanging out with the guys, I'm often singing the 'one of these girls is not like the other' song in my head.
It's not that I don't try, it's just that...I don't try very hard. :) Most of the time I find the make-up/hair-curling/clothes-less-than-five-years-old thing to be more effort than I can muster. And yet...sometimes the effort can be worth it... So I'm here today to inform you all that I have made a decision:

If nothing else, my push ups will be girly!

At least until I can do the real kind without dying... :)

In a "Gooood morning, Vietnam!" sort of way, these words burst forth from our high school basketball coach just as a particularly sweet shot slipped into the basket.

It's hard to cheer when you're busy scratching your head.

My Education - Take 43!!

First things first: I often wish I were the type of person that counts to three, summons a bear-like roar and jumps in - but I'm not.

I'm a toe-dipper.

That's right, I said it.
A toe-dipper.

It's not that I'm worried about the temperature. I know what the water is like. I just doubt my ability to swim. Every. Single. Time. Why is school always so hard for me??

One class. Human Physiology. Dip. Dip. Dip.
But at least my toe is wet, so that's somethin'. I'm bound to fall in if I stand here, off-balance on one foot, for too much longer, right?

In other news: Bindi Irwin is my favorite celebrity. Hands down. "Saving wildlife and singing and dancing are...is my passion." She's so cute and so cute and so darn very cute!

And lastly: Sugar is my new mortal enemy. It just isn't fair. If I'm going to get the hangover, shouldn't I at least get to enjoy being drunk??? Oh, my head hurts so much! *Sigh* I'll just sleep it off like I always do.
